The Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) is deeply rooted in Waterloo Region and was founded in 1932 at Lexington field in North Waterloo. It began as a flying centre, but continued to grow and became a driving force behind the formation of the Waterloo Airport (now the Region of Waterloo International Airport) in 1950. They are one of the largest professional flight schools in Canada.
Today WWFC offers training to individuals seeking a career in aviation and is partnered with two post-secondary institutions – Conestoga College and the University of Waterloo. The program consists of building hours, gaining experience, developing skills, and upgrading the licence. In addition, WWFC trains over 50 private pilots each year.
WWFC also offers scenic flights for visitors to enjoy, as well as rentals of their meeting rooms and hangar for a unique event space!
WWFC is a not-for-profit corporation that aims to support community members who wish to pursue their aviation goals by providing high quality resources and a safe learning environment.

The WWFC Aircraft Maintenance program ensures that all of their aircraft perform safely. All maintenance is completed in their 8,000 square foot hangar at the Region of Waterloo International Airport. They also offer their services to private aircraft owners.
WWFC offers a three-day unmanned aerial vehicle/drone pilot training to ensure the safe operation of UAVs and drones in Canadian airspace under Transport Canada’s Exemptions, or under a Special Flight Operations Certificate.
