Since 1975, the Stone Crock Restaurant has been serving home-style comfort food in the heart of St. Jacobs. Enjoy savoury entrées, signature soups and salads, and fresh baked pies.
Join them for family dinners or business lunches, and enjoy their buffet or à la carte menu. Food at the Stone Crock is truly home-style: many of their recipes for pies, breads, roasted meats, sausages and home-style soups are directly from local family collections.
Stone Crock Restaurant in St Jacobs was opened by local entrepreneurs Milo and Laura Shantz, and continues to be owned and operated by the Shantz family. What was a former grocery store has been transformed into a cozy dining area, reminiscent of an early Waterloo County farm kitchen. Their lunch and dinner buffets feature the Stone Crock’s signature salad bar, as well as an array of hot entrees and locally grown vegetables. The Saturday Breakfast buffet and Sunday Bruch buffet are popular choices for families and groups.
Located next door to the Stone Crock Restaurant is Stone Crock Meats & Cheese butcher shop and deli, offering quality meats and cheeses as well as gift baskets and party trays. The Stone Crock Bakery, which began in a corner of the restaurant basement before moving into its current location, offers breads, specialty cakes, sweet treats and fresh-baked pies.
Stone Crock also operates St Jacobs Catering which caters for groups from 30 to 3000 people. They cater to halls, offices, tents, or to exclusive venues like the Waterloo Regional Museum and St Jacobs Schoolhouse where they are a preferred caterer. Stone Crock also hosts meetings and events for up to 70 people in their private Stone Crock Meeting and Banquet Rooms, which are equipped with modern amenities like WiFi and data projectors.
Stone Crock is the place to be when you’re craving home-style food.
