SausageFest takes place each year in Waterloo Public Square in mid-October in conjunction with the Great Oktoberfest Barrel Race hosted by the UpTown Waterloo BIA.
Local restaurants feature their greatest sausage themed dishes such as souvlaki goat sausage, a specialty rabbit, fennel and pork sausages soup, or you can’t go wrong with your classic Oktoberfest sausage. But that’s not all, SausageFest also features a selection of craft beer, fall themed desserts, and great live music.
Past brewers and retailers at the event include Beertown Public House, Innocente Brewing Company, Block Three Brewing, and Elora Brewing Company. And the delicious food vendors have included local staples such as Molly Bloom’s, Zoup!, Q’s Cakes & Café, Top Market Meats, Pub on King, Abe Erb, and more. Check the website for this year’s great line up!
SausageFest takes place on the same day and location as the Great Oktoberfest Barrel Race, providing food and refreshment to spectators and competitors. Prizes are awarded to the winners of each category, and all participants will receive free entrance to SausageFest.
SausageFest is presented by the City of Waterloo in conjunction with the Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area.
