Take part in a fun-filled day of interactive medieval fanfare at the Royal Medieval Faire in Waterloo Park West!
Each September, guests of all ages come to the Royal Medieval Faire to take in vendors, hands-on displays, games, celtic music, magic, swordplay, authentic costumes & decorations, and much more. There are also great food and beverage options for visitors to enjoy while at the faire!
Now in its 21st year, The Royal Medieval Faire began as an improvisational and interactive theatre, which now attracts 5,500 visitors each year. This event is not-for-profit and volunteer run, and has the longest running storyline of any festival in Ontario. Feel free to come dressed in a medieval costume to add to the fun!
The 2 festival stages at the Royal Medieval Faire feature singing and dancing. Visitors will enjoy the fun as minstrels and jesters entertain them at The Royal Court. There’s even a tournament area complete with knights in battle, where an intriguing story unfolds throughout the day. Visit the Royal Medieval Faire Marketplace for all things medieval including jewelry, armory, books and costumes.
More than 150 actors, performers and volunteers come together each year to make the faire possible. Find out how to get involved, and be ‘medieval’ for a day!
This event is suitable for all ages and has something for everyone. The admission price includes everything at the faire (with the exception of vendor merchandise, food and beverages). It’s a great day for the entire family and anyone interested in history and the arts. Directions to the faire can be found on the website.
