The Preston Towne Centre Christmas Open House is an annual event in mid-November in Preston. The event features decorations, lights, and food. Taking place in partnership with participating businesses in Preston Towne Centre, the event is one of several held throughout the year.
The Christmas Open House involves a number of businesses offering promotions or deals during the event for their customers to take advantage of, such as free tea from Red Teapot Studio with the purchase of a teapot.
Sweets and treats are available and are a highlight of the event, but the main focus of the event is shopping. The Preston Town Centre Christmas Open House is early enough in the holiday season to offer opportunities for early shoppers to find their Christmas presents, and the promotions offered by businesses make the shopping less expensive. Other than shopping, storefronts are decorate, streets are lit, and the sounds of the season can be heard performed by festive carollers.
Some of the businesses who participate include Red Teapot Studio, Second Star to the Right, Emilia’s Boutique, Luxe Touch Designer Consignment, and Pretty Vintage. Food is also available; restaurants in the area include Fiddle and Firkin, Kobblestone Bakery, and Shanghai Restaurant. While not every business in the area is guaranteed to participate in promotions, they are all open during the Open House.
The Preston Towne Centre Christmas Open House is organized and run by the Preston Business Improvement Area, an association of local property owners working with the city to improve and promote their area. Other events that are run by the Preston Business Improvement Area include Candyland and free skating in Central Park.
