Pinehurst Lake has a sandy beach and is surrounded by natural Carolinian forest. From May to October it offers camping, swimming, boating, picnicking and hiking; in the winter, showshoeing, ice fishing and cross-country skiing.

Market Road Antiques is a destination on its own, and is open every day of the week all year around, including most major holidays. In February each year, Market Road Antiques hosts its annual winter sale.
