Homestyle cooking. No fuss, no muss!
Harmony Lunch has been an Uptown Waterloo staple since 1930. This iconic eatery was founded by Listowel native Harry Marks, who started selling 10 cent burgers out of the side window of the building. Now, 88 years later, a lot is still the same: the original Harmony Lunch sign on the building remains, and favourites like Harmony’s burgers and heaps of fried onions are still on the menu! Harmony Lunch is now run by the Fat Sparrow Group, who continue the commitment to home-style cooking and quality food – and more of it!
Harmony Lunch is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week – and is open until 12 a.m. Thursday to Saturday for those late-night cravings! With menu favourites such as grilled cheese, fish and chips, the Big Breakfast, a special Kid’s Menu, and the famous Harmony Burger, the entire family will find something to love. They also have pies galore which are baked in-house: enjoy a slice for dessert, or take an entire pie home!
Enjoy an old-school milkshake at Harmony, or ask what local craft beer is on tap. Each day of the week has its own Feature – from #millstreetmonday, Mac & Cheese Tuesday, to #guestchefburger Friday where guest chefs are invited to create their dream burger using Harmony’s famous patties.
Harmony Lunch is part of the Fat Sparrow Group of restaurants in Uptown Waterloo. They also run Nick & Nat’s Uptown 21, Marbles and Taco Farm. These four unique restaurants are owned and operated by Nick Benninger, his wife Natalie, and their partners. Harmony Lunch was a favourite of Chef Nick’s, and his commitment to home-style cooking and quality food is in perfect harmony with the standard Harry Marks when he opened the restaurant.
