Bloom at Conestoga is a full service restaurant, located on the Waterloo campus of Conestoga College. This formal yet comfortable restaurant is a live classroom, where 3 and 4-course meals are prepared and served by aspiring chefs and restaurant managers studying in Conestoga’s Hospitality programs. Guests are treated to beautifully prepared dishes featuring locally sourced and in-season foods, while enjoying Bloom’s comfortable, upscale dining room. Bloom is fully licensed, and features a variety of wines and beers as well as cocktails created through the college’s Mixology curriculum. This 55-seat restaurant is available for groups, and can be rented for special events. The staff at Bloom works to ensure all dietary needs are accommodated, and offer customized menu options including vegetarian friendly and gluten-free choices.
Bloom at Conestoga is under the direction of Executive Chef Brad Lomanto. Menus for the restaurant are based on curriculum taught in the students’ food and theory classes.
