Mountain Biking

Challenge yourself at one of Ontario’s premier mountain biking destinations – The Hydrocut.  
More than 35km of well-designed and interconnected trails will thrill riders of all levels.  The Hydrocut trails are free to use and are open year-round.

Cycle Routes and Inspiration

Classic Grand River Loop

Experience the best of trail riding in Waterloo Region, including access to big city amenities, bicycle friendly cafes, restaurants and craft breweries, while quickly entering tranquil green spaces and trails along the Grand River.

Woolwich Countryside Tour

This ride thru Mennonite country begins in the village of St. Jacobs. Discover one of the last covered bridges in Ontario in West Montrose, ride the G2G Trailway, and tour the quaint villages of Elmira, Wallenstein and Hawkesville.

Hespeler Village-Mill Run Trail Ride

Enjoy an out-and-back trail ride on the Mill Run Trail along the Speed River which flows into the Grand River. Start and end in Hespeler Village with multiple craft breweries, restaurants and plenty of interesting sights to check out.
