September 13, 2019 – The winners of the 2019 Golden Tap Awards (GTAs) and Ontario Brewing Awards (OBAs) were announced September 12th, 2019 during a joint event at the Berkeley Church in Toronto.

Two Waterloo Region breweries were each award recipients in two categories:

Four Fathers Brewing Co. received bronze in the Strong Belgium Beer category for its Honey Badger beer, and bronze in the Historical Beer category for its beer It Takes a Village.

Red Circle Brewing Co. was awarded a bronze in the Catharina Sour category for its Braided Roads (Raspberry) beer, and a silver in the Amber Bitter European Beer category for its beer Vienna.

The OBAs are owned and operated by Taps Media, with entries from Ontario breweries evaluated in 30 categories by a panel of BJCP-certified judges.
