DAY 1: Craft Beer Passport Itinerary – Kitchener

1) TWB Cooperative Brewing
Their beers are crafted and inspired by styles from around the world, and include stouts, porter, and even a witbier.  While you’re there why not take a tour of TWB? You can look at their brewing space and meet the people working behind the scenes to create these unique brews!

2) Short Finger Brewing Co.
Short Finger is a small, independently owned homebrew shop and craft brewery in Kitchener (and recent winner of Gold and Silver medals at the Canadian Brewing Awards!). Head to their new Taste Room to see what’s on tap – it’s always something different! Watch for their new Beer Education Centre opening later this year.

3) Counterpoint Brewing Co.
Who knew that a musician and an entrepreneur could come together and make beautiful brews?  Counterpoint crafts small batches and offers a constantly rotating selection of taps and bottles. Use your stamp to discover a new favourite!

4) Descendants Beer & Beverage Co.
This European-style bierhalle features an ever-changing craft beer menu, along with craft spirits, ciders, sodas and guest taps from other Ontario craft breweries. By now, you’re probably ready for something to eat: Descendants offers a fresh food menu to pair with whatever you’re sampling!

Day 2: Craft Beer Passport Itinerary – Cambridge

1) Wave Maker Craft Brewery and Distillery
A new kid on the brewing block, Wave Maker features a spacious tap room to enjoy beer on site, as well as growlers, bottles and cans to take home. Wondering what’s on tap? Here they brew anything and everything including drinking lagers, hop bombs, sour and even wild beers. Wave Maker also offers brewery tours, and guided beer tastings.

2) Rhythm & Brews
It’s time to sample craft beer, and local music! This bar and tap house has a great blues vibe, complete with a stage for performers. Featuring brews with names like Vinyl Tap, Hefe Metal and Set the World on Fire, the flavours you’ll experience are as sultry as music that entertains you!

3) Jackass Brewing
Owned by brothers Wayne and Keith who not only share DNA, but also a love of craft beer. It’s a busy brew house where there’s always something going on! Music, paint nights, even Zumba – they pair everything with their beers! And, if you need a little something to go with your $2 glass of beer (thanks to the CBP app!), they also serve finger foods like chips and salsa, dill pickles, pepperettes and pickled eggs.

4) Four Fathers Brewing Co.
Four Fathers’ flagship beers include New World Pilsner, The Starter and Shevchenko 9. They also feature a flavourful selection of seasonal beers and one-offs. When the sun is shining, head out of the tap room and enjoy a brew on the patio! Four Fathers also features a full kitchen menu to enjoy with whichever brew you choose.
