Here’s to Dad on his special day! Whether your dad is into sports, enjoys a night on the town, likes to sit down to a great meal or hoist a glass of locally crafted beer, you can find just the right way to celebrate him this Father’s Day right here in Waterloo Region.

Father’s Day: Craft Beer and Spirits

Hops for Pops Craft Beer Festival

This is year five for the annual Father’s Day Craft Beer Festival at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. Enjoy this unique festival where adults can sample local beer, while visiting with their family. In addition, the festival features delicious food from The Chop House, wagon rides and fun activities for all ages. D.J. Penny will be spinning some top 40 hits and live music from the band Paradox!

Father’s Day at Descendants

Father’s Day is a special day at Descendants Beer & Beverage Co.! Matt Weidinger will be performing from 1pm-4pm, and they’ll have specials on flights, pitchers, food and t-shirts!

“Chillin’, grillin’, and refillin” for Father’s Day at Graffiti Market

Graffiti Market is partnering with the soon to be open Crows Foot Smoke Haus to make this Father’s Day extra memorable. Celebrate pops with beer flight deals and special barbecue inspired pizzas.

Murphy’s Law in Elmira is the only distillery in Ontario to exclusively make moonshine. Arrange a tour for dad, including a behind-the-scenes look at the process for making moonshine, a tasting of various flavours at Murphy’s Law, as well as a shot glass to bring home!

Father’s Day BBQ at the Kitchener Market

The quickest way to Dad’s heart is through his stomach! Celebrate Father’s Day at the Kitchener Market on the piazza for an outdoor BBQ. There’ll be live music, kids crafts and some cool cars and motorcycles on display. And all dads get a free jumbo hot dog for lunch!

Breakfast in the Park in Petersburg

Old vintage cars will be in Petersburg Community Park (1330 Notre Dame Dr.) from 8 a.m. to noon on Father’s Day, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast served by the Petersburg Optimist Club for $10 each. Admission to the car show is free for all ages. Be sure to arrive early, as last year there were more than 2,000 breakfasts served and 400 cars on display!

KW Serbian Food Festival

Come and Enjoy a Taste of Serbia this Father’s Day! There is a wide array of authentic Serbian food to try. Experience ćevape (chevape) and goulash, and roasted pig and lamb hot off the spit. Dad will also be entertained by a live Serbian band performing contemporary and traditional songs.

St. Jacobs & Aberfoyle Model Railway

Does your dad love trains? Then he’ll really appreciate a trip to this O scale (¼”= 12″) model railway depicting Southern Ontario in the late 1950’s. This 3,000 square foot (280 square meter) display was custom built from scratch, and is located in the Village of St. Jacobs.
