You can ride your bike almost anywhere in Waterloo Region. In the cities, some bike trips of less than five kilometres often take no more time than driving.
The Grand Valley Trails Association (GVTA) is a volunteer organization committed to establishing footpaths within Ontario’s Grand River Watershed in order to promote public enjoyment and protection of the natural environment and human history of this Canadian Heritage River.
Waterloo Region has many parks and trails to explore. Some well-known trails, such as the Kissing Bridge Trailway, the Iron Horse Trail and the Walter Bean Trail, span two or more municipalities.
