What started as a relief work-project during the Great Depression in the 1930s has evolved over the decades into a bona fide food destination known as Kitchener’s Belmont Village.
If you’re looking for something to do in Waterloo Region this fall, Bingemans’ lineup is full of fun from a “Kool” Oktoberfest experience to something more eerie and macabre!
Not for the faint at heart, Bingemans’ Screampark will scare and terrorize its visitors starting on September 29! In its 12th year, Screampark is set to entertain with more attractions and fright than ever before. New attractions include: Autopsy – An immersive biography of a mortician; Carnival of Souls – A desolate path surrounded by the aftermath of a ringmaster’s revenge; Ringmaster’s Ruins – a walk through the horrifying past of a traveling freak show with a demonic cast; Phobia – A test of courage through a maze filled with feared subjects; and the Gore Gallery – A museum gallery of some of the sickest and most twisted heirlooms and terrifying facts.
The gates of Screampark are open for your frightful enjoyment on September 29-30, October 6-8, 13-15, 19-22, and 24-29.
Bingemans is celebrating its 49th year of Bavarian festivities by launching a new and exciting experience for patrons of the Oktoberfest Kool Haus festhalle from October 6-14!
This year’s program has been modified to give attendees the most authentic German-style experience outside of Munich. Bingemans is offering festival goers authentic German beers direct from Munich from Hacker-Pschorr and Paulaner. In addition, Bingemans has partnered with Waterloo Brewing, Innocente Brewing Company, and KW Craft Cider to bring local craft beer to the festival.
Entertainment includes Retrotoberfest, the George Kash Oktoberfest Express, the Lulu’s Band, Paul James, and Tonic Band. On October 11, Montreal natives, the Sam Roberts Band, will rock the Bingemans Kool Haus stage with performances of many of their award-winning singles. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Grand River Hospital Foundation. Tickets for all events can be purchased at bingemans.com.
For something the whole family can enjoy, attend the 36th FREE Oktoberfest Family Breakfast on Saturday, October 7 from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. – while supplies last.
